Merchandise Export From India Scheme

(MEIS)

Service Exports from India Scheme (SEIS) aims to promote export of services from India by providing duty scrip credit for eligible exports. Under the scheme, service providers, located in India, would be rewarded under the SEIS scheme, for all eligible export of services from India.

Shree Balajee Internation provides DFIA Consultancy. Duty Free Import Authorization (DFIA) is a scheme under which duty free import of inputs, fuel, oil, energy sources, acatalyst which is required for the production of export goods is allowed.

This is a Scheme which enables an importer (being an export-oriented business) to import capital goods at zero rates of customs duty. However, the scheme is subject to an export value equivalent to 6 times of duty saved on the importation of such capital goods within 6 years from the date of issuance of the authorization.

All the three categories namely Physical Exports, Deemed Exports & Intermediate Supplies are classified under common platform known as "ADVANCE AUTHORISATION SCHEME" under the popular Duty Exemption Scheme (DES).

Restricted Imports

When an exporter wants to trade in foreign goods, he needs authorization from proper authority i.e. DGFT. When DGFT approves exporter such license it is known as Import License. Import licenses are considered to be non-tax barriers to traders when used as a way to discriminate against another country’s goods in order to protect a domestic industry from foreign competition. All goods, import of which is permitted only with an Authorisation / Permission / License or in accordance with the import procedure prescribed in a notification/public notice are ‘Restricted’ goods.

Export of dual use items and technologies

Export of dual-use items and technologies under India’s Foreign Trade Policy is regulated. Export of dual-use items and technologies is either prohibited or is permitted under a licence. In Foreign Trade Policy, dual-use items have been given the nomenclature of Special Chemicals, Organisms, Materials, Equipment and Technologies (SCOMET).
